When I first got here I decided that core was just the coolest thing ever but I learned that you don't need core to block ads from dA. Ads can make pages load slower and make your time on dA less than enjoyable so I decided that if I can take advantage of these easy to use things than so can you.

How to block ads with Firefox/Waterfox: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef…
How to block ads with Chrome/Chromium: adblockplus.org/en/chrome
How to block ads with Internet Explorer: www.ehow.com/how_5842736_block…
How to block ads with Safari: safariadblock.com/
How to block ads with Opera: addons.opera.com/en/extensions…
How to block ads with Microsoft Edge: adblockplus.org/ (make sure do view this on Edge).

I think this was a good thing to share with the community, let me know your thoughts on this because I like to get plenty of second opinions.

Is there any way to opt out of seeing certain ads, I still want to support the site.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I think that they might start tracking which computers their accounts are being logged into and using adblock at the same time and banning said accounts.

That would be very unfair of them to do so, I do not think they would go that far.

If you mean the anti-adblocker, you can easily block it with your current adblocker.

You can? When I right click and block it as an ad and go to a new dA profile it returns! Is there a way to block it's appearance on all dA pages?

What adblocker do you use? I use adblock as a chrome extension, and in the options for the filter lists, you can select a filter list named Adblock Warning Removal list, which is designed precisely for this sort of thing. I think that the people who created that feature are geniuses.

Alas now DA has decided to load 'anti-adblock ads' that don't seem to want to stay hidden.

Indeed. I totally agree with you.

But it seems a lot of users are getting pornography ads, which is fucked up. Maybe, they should black-list certain ads? But not all?

do you use malware-bytes? so then your comp wont be infected and ads will help deviantart at the same time

adblock, adblock plus, and unblock origin doesn't work w/ firefox or chrome anymore. i'm not sure about anything else tho. it makes it so you can't remove deviations, journals, watch notifs, etc. from your inbox. ;____;

Is that why it's been doing this? Because it's seriously annoying and making me want to quit DA or just unwatch everything.

Same. It only started happening about three days ago for me. I'm not about to disable adblock, considering I never click ads anyway. I don't want to see them at all.

I really hate the ads here in DeviantART! Especially those who are videos since they make the entire pages to lag or freeze! Why we need a stupid core to removed them?!
